Art for me is all about seeing things in a different way. The world can become a very simple place when you see it as nothing more than lines, shapes of color, and changes in value. Art is all about simplifying what we see, capturing the beauty that exists in that simplicity. That's art to me, and that's what I try to do with my art. Enjoy!

Abandoned Tire Shop
This is a painting I did just on the outskirts of Helper on the south east side of town. It's an old, abandoned, tire shop. I loved the colors on the door, the chipped, cracking, white paint, and I loved the yellow sign in front of it all. It was a break through painting during the week for me as far as color and value matching go. I almost completely nailed the color and the value that I was seeing. The painting is on an 11x14 in. MDF panel. It was a blast to paint!
